Harmonizer

The  Harmonizer  is a great tool for  pianists, composers and arrangers

Now you can create/practice patterns using double stops, chords, or any harmonization you like.

To edit the Harmony Vector just click on the H button and input the numbers separated by a period then press the ENTER KEY

When the  Harmonize button is enabled  Tessitura Pro will  harmonize target notes  (approach-notes will not be harmonized) using the  harmony pattern  you have created.

The notes you want to add harmonically are determined by the  Harmony Vector  which are simply  numbers separated by a period.

Following is an example of a  Harmony Vector 3.5 over an ascending steps pattern using the Ionian scale

Harmony Vector

The numbers in the harmony vector represent the  distance between the target and the diatonic note you want to add.

i.e. The number 2 is the next note in the scale (step). If you add a number 3 it will skip one note.

Important : These are diatonic notes.

Examples:

harmony vector = 2 structure = Ionian

Meaning: Harmonize using the next note in the scale.

harmony vector = 2 structure = Major Triad

Meaning: Harmonize using the next note in the scale.  The next note in the major triad.

harmony vector = 2.3 structure = Major Triad

Meaning: Harmonize using the next two notes in the scale

To edit the Harmony Vector just click on the H button and input the numbers separated by a dot then press the ENTER KEY
