Learn how to apply chromatic enclosures and two Bebop rhythmic “words” (2 and 9) to create melodic, forward-thinking jazz solos over Blues for Alice.
This lesson combines three chromatic enclosures into a practical solo study over Blues for Alice and shows how placing target notes on different beat subdivisions changes the enclosure’s effect. You’ll learn to think ahead by targeting the next chord tone, apply rhythmic words 2 and 9 (including triplet placement), and hear two versions of the solo with annotated PDFs. Members receive a PDF with the solo, annotated enclosures, target-note markings, and a call-and-response backing track in slow and fast tempos for focused practice.
